Fibo
Fibo is your assistant across all your work in Refactor. Ask it what needs you, have it start work, and hear from it when something is waiting.

Fibo in two places#
Fibo is the name of Refactor's agent, and you meet it in two places.
- In a workspace, Fibo is that workspace's agent. It works on the files there, in conversations everyone in the workspace can read. See Conversations.
- In the Fibo panel, Fibo is your own assistant. It is one private conversation, available on every page, about your work as a whole.
This section is about the panel.
Open the panel#
Press Cmd+J on a Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows. Or click the Open Fibo tab on the right edge of the window. Press the shortcut again, or click the X, to close it.
- On most pages the panel opens beside the page, and stays open or closed as you left it.
- Inside a workspace it slides over the right edge so it takes no room from the work. It closes when you click back into the workspace or press Esc. There, Fibo is for your other work; to ask about the workspace you are in, use its own conversation.
- On a phone it opens full screen.
When Fibo replies while the panel is closed, the tab shows a count of new messages.
What you can ask#
What needs you. Ask "what needs me?" and Fibo lists what is waiting on you, with a button to open each item.
About one piece of work. On Home, select a row. It is attached to your next question, shown as About and the name above the message box.
To start work. Ask for it in a sentence, for example:
Start a workspace to draft the October carrier scorecard.
Fibo creates the workspace as you, starts its agent, and replies with a button to open it. If you name a service, the result is an engagement of that service, and Fibo asks who it is for if you did not say. One message starts one thing. Work started this way is marked Started by Fibo on Home.
What a workspace knows. Fibo does not work inside your workspaces. When you ask about something in one, it puts the question to that workspace's agent and brings the answer back. See Asking a workspace.
To change how it reaches you. "Stop emailing me" or "send these to my phone" changes that one notification setting. See Notifications.
What Fibo will not do#
- It does not start work, or answer anything for you, unless you ask in the panel.
- It does not approve reviews, retry work or change anything in another workspace. It tells you why and gives you a link instead.
- It does not read a workspace's files, and it does not watch your conversations there. It knows facts about your work: names, status, how much is waiting. It looks at what was said in a workspace only when you ask it to find something, and that workspace is told.
Links and one-tap answers#
Under a message Fibo can show buttons. Some open a workspace, a conversation, a review or an engagement. Others are ready-made answers; clicking one sends those words as your reply. Fibo only shows a link to something you are allowed to open.
One conversation that continues#
You have one conversation with Fibo in each organization. It is never cleared, and there is no list of past conversations to manage. Older parts are summarised automatically so the conversation can go on indefinitely, and what matters is kept as memory you can read and edit.
If Fibo stops answering#
Fibo has a monthly spending limit that an organization admin can set for the whole organization. When it is reached, the reason is shown above the message box and you cannot send until an admin raises the limit or the next month begins. You can still read the conversation. Admins see a notice on Home when this happens. See Models and spending.
