    Fibo writes you one grouped message about what needs you. You choose where you hear about it, and which work you hear about.

    One message, not a stream of alerts#

    Refactor has no notification bell and does not send an alert for every event. Instead, Fibo writes one short message in your Fibo conversation that groups what needs you, with the things waiting on a person first and a button to open each one.

    Each channel you have turned on is then told, once, that Fibo has written to you.

    The message is written so it is safe to glance at. It never quotes a question, a message or a file, and it names nobody else.

    Choose where Fibo reaches you#

    Open Settings, then Notifications. The first panel is Where Fibo reaches you.

    ChannelWhat you getTo use it
    HomeEverything that needs you is listed on Home.Always on. There is nothing to switch.
    This browserA browser notification titled Fibo, with the first line of the message.Click Turn on and allow notifications when your browser asks. Set separately on each device.
    Your phoneThe same browser notification, on your phone.Add the console to your phone's home screen, open it from the new icon, then turn on This browser there.
    The Refactor appA phone notification that says only that Fibo has written to you. It shows nothing of the message.Click Turn on.
    EmailOne email to the address you sign in with. The subject is the first line of the message, and a button opens Fibo.Click Turn on.

    Everything except Home is off until you turn it on. Each switch saves as you click it and applies from Fibo's next message.

    A channel that is not set up for your organization shows the reason in place of a switch.

    You can also ask Fibo itself: "stop emailing me", or "send these to my phone". It changes that one switch, for you only. Browser notifications are the exception, because your browser has to ask your permission.

    Your choices are kept per organization. If you belong to two organizations, set each one.

    When a message is sent#

    • Fibo waits until things have been quiet for 2 minutes, so a burst of events becomes one message. It never waits more than 5 minutes after the first one.
    • You get at most one message in any 10 minutes.
    • Events that ask nothing of you, such as work finishing, are saved up and sent as one summary.
    • There are no reminders. Anything unanswered stays under Needs you on Home until someone deals with it.

    What you hear about#

    Fibo tells you when:

    • a review is opened on a task;
    • an agent asks a question;
    • an agent gets stuck, or a turn fails;
    • a task in an engagement is waiting on a person;
    • a Task List finishes, or an engagement closes.

    You hear about a piece of work when you can open it, you have not muted it, and at least one of these is true:

    • you are on call for it;
    • it is your own work, meaning a workspace you own or an engagement you started;
    • you follow it.

    One kind of message does not follow that rule. In an organization that handles health data, where restricted network access is on, Fibo tells a workspace's owners and the organization's admins when someone asks for a site to be allowed in that workspace. You are told because you can allow or decline it, whether or not you follow the workspace, and muting the workspace does not stop it. The message does not name the site. The request waits in the workspace's Connections view, not under Needs you. See Allow a site.

    Follow or mute a piece of work#

    1. Open the workspace and click On call in its left bar. If you manage the workspace, click Share.
    2. Under Follow and mute, click Follow or Mute.
    • Follow to hear about work even when you are not on call for it. It also stays on your Home.
    • Mute to stop hearing about it. It still shows on your Home and in Workspaces.

    Both are private to you. Nobody else sees what you follow or mute.

    To review your choices, open Settings, then Notifications, and look under What you hear about. The Following and Muted lists each have a button to undo.

    Stop hearing about your own work#

    Under Settings, Notifications, Your own work, clear Tell me about my own work. You will still hear about work you are on call for or follow.

    If Fibo cannot write to you#

    If the organization's spending limit for Fibo has been reached, or every model has been turned off for it, Fibo cannot compose a message. You then get a short fixed message on the same channels, saying how many updates are waiting on Home and what an admin needs to do.
